remember that a fly jumps up and back and little bit when it takes off, so wait till the little fucker lands somewhere and clap your hands behind it about 4 inches above and 2 inches behind. (flies dont know metric)..
The filthy disease ridden shit-eating, piss drinking little bastard will see your hands coming together and leap off his hairy maggot-making little arse to get away and you can crush him. Be sure to say 'ooroagh!!' menacingly, as you lick the yellow red and black mulch off your hands in slow motion.
Above all, flies are cheap protein.
