k9kuma, we're in the same boat. if I left my job, no other job would pay me what I'm already making. Besides not being done with another new portfolio site, moving around right now in this market is risky. A house payment, student loans, and gifts need to be payed for somehow, and there's no way inconsistent freelance in my case will handle that. But I learned staying put until things get better is the best thing to do sometimes.
