  BTW, it worked. They paid immediately and came back with more work. They'te not getting anything without prepayment.

  This friend of mine is a negotiations trainer. He was at my place when I tried to resolve the issue. He called them as my business partner, made the woman in their accounting dept. feel guilty talking about his employees who are waiting for the money, then when she had enough of his blows he turned to a nice guy, almost befriended her and suddenly made her promise she would personally take care of the payment.
  The guy is good, it was both entertaining and educating listening to him.
