as a person i dont like him much. (he come to my school for a conferance about 2 years ago)
he cancelled the first time because his ears hurt so he didn't go on the plane.
that was the first impression he left on me. (i wasnt interrested in design when i was a kid, just transformers, ninja turtles and hockey)

(Jul 7 05, 04:13)That's the point, 'design', they type of stuff David Carson does is self-congratulatory (wank) and seems to do nothing exept inspire people who should know better and alienate those who don't get it. This is really strange considering it is called 'graphic communication'.
Turtles, Transormers etc. are all design, all part of the fabric of life, part of our childhood and part of our lives now (some of us) have children of our own. Snobbery tells us otherwise, that Davids' cool, Donattello ain't.
Respect for being honest and not 'going with the flock'
The one 'celeb' designer I have respect for is Wayne Hemmingway - top bloke!
