It was this time when it wasn't really the 80's and the beginning of the ninties started to have that End of the Century feel too it...just before the whole DOtCom thing hit and made the 90's this big booming era - just before that hit it looked like some weird shit was about to come down the pike...It was the right music for the end of the century, but it should of shown up in '01 and not '91...
God, I wish the first Rage album came out now with all the political bullshit..their power and message just fell on deaf ears during the Clinton years...
And Soundgardens "Gun" is still so lyrically revolutionary to me.."Sink load and fire until the empire reaps what it sows..."

I mean where are the artists that are out there puching boundaries and challenging the status quo? I mean Jane's did it, Rage did it, Public Enemy, Ice-T...now what do we have? Cloned nuMetal bands, Emo and Britney Spears saying "Let's support the president because he's good and powerful and stuff..."
