Hym makes a very good point.
If you work off pirated software, then you have zero high ground o stand on when somebody rips off your designs and makes mad money.
The software development argument, though, doesn't hold a lot of water for me - but for a different reason - anyone worth their salt should be running OSS anyway. Anyone who hires an MSFT developer deserves what they get....
