a bunch of my close buddies from college are self proclaimed 'beaners' - when I was working at this one lil signshop - the group of them (now a bunch of animators / designers / programmers... and yeah... one's still a bellhop) all asked me to make them a bunch of stickers that said 'beaner racing'.
What strikes me about those who are 'mexican' is that the fuckers will work their asses off... and do a good job every freakin' time. There are two crews of mexicans that come and work in my yard each week. The majority of them don't speak english and seem slightly paranoid half the time... but the fuckers WORK like no other group I've seen.
Driving down the road and seeing these white fella's with their guts hanging out standing around a man-hole while one guy inside does all the work always gives me a little chuckle... that job would've been done before the sun came up if the day-laboring folks were doing it.
I live in Phoenix, btw - illegal immigrant central... so I have an up-close whiteboy perspective.
I hope that me hiring mexicans to do my art isn't taken 'bad'... but there aren't exactly a ton of white guys in phoenix doing yard work (unless they're in charge of the crew).
