  I agree that Katie Holmes was by far the worst thing in this film but that, for me, was its only downfall...

  As for it being a prequel, I think it will have a couple of sequels but they will not necessarily include the Joker - the ending was only meant to tie in the fact that Napier (who becomes the Joker after duelling with Batman) was causing mischief and leaving his calling card after wards...

  As for the following movie titles...

  Batman Begins
  Batman Middles
  Batman Ends
