stars was great!
no neko case though : ( it was ac newman's niece and she was O.K.
I was real surprised when the sadies were playing and jon spencer came out with the other dude from Heavy Trash and played a few songs. They were really enjoyable.
inbetween the stars and the new pornographer's set this huge dude with a new york accent rolls down the aisle and plops a chair right at the end, in the aisle! I got to the show right when the gates opened so I was sitting on the first row, right before the crowd barrier to the 'members section'
so these people who were standing in the aisle pretty much got pushed out of the way for this old dude to sit in the middle of the aisle. this one girl was like "could you please fucking move.. this is ridic.. etc" and they had this big argument. the guy turns over to me and is like "whats the deal.. this is outrageous.. i couldn't see anything in the back blah blah" and i was like "well, yeah. I think they should just fuggetaboutit" and the guy was like "YEAH!!!"
Then the new pornographers started and from where i was standing it was difficult to hear the 2nd guitarist and the keyboards. it was ok. then they started playing "mass romantic" and this dude runs up to the fence and is like "EVERYONE JUMP THE FENCE!!" so i jumped the fence and ran up front, everyone followed, and dancing ensued. i had a great time.
