... It was a hot summer night in 95' I think, my then girlfriend loved going to see 16 Horsepower - "let's go see them at the Lion's Lair, I know the guy at the door we will get in no problem" We get there, the line is rediculous - but she did know the guy and we got in. Like Jevad said It smelled like piss and full of cunts - the worst place to see a show, shoulder to shoulder and everyone was stepping on my feet - and if you know me, that fuckin pisses me off. I was pretty damn tanked when i got there, but after 3 shots of Goldschlager in a row, the smell went away and the music sounded pretty damn good. For some reason they left all the bar tables out - these are the rickety ones that have been there since day one. Some douche bag decided to jump up on one of the tables and start dancing on it, by doing this the table was slamming into me and my chick. I told the fuck to get down - he flipped me off and poured his beer on my face - I was shocked - before i could react my chick grabbed both of his feet and pulled them out from under him - he came crashing down head first on one of the other tables and when he turned over to fall on the floor i caught one of his boots right in the face - I was dazed, before i could see if the dude was mangled or not, the bouncer snatched me up and literally threw me out, on my ass - that fukin hurt - he grabbed my wallet and took my drivers license - then the other dude came flying out on his ass (those LL bouncers dont mess around) - and his face was fucked up all bloody and shit, he didn't even know who i was - so needless to say I got kicked out and banned for like 15 years and my girlfriend at the time stayed in there and ended up going home with the drummer. After about 45 min. with the cops, they left me alone cuz the guy who was all fucked up kept trying to run back in - the kept knocking him down - he ended up going to jail. I got a black eye and a sore ass. I should make a shirt that says "I went to the lion's lair and all i got was a Black eye and a sore ass"
Those guys can suck it.
