it's not all hype though. dont you think the variety and success of this "fashion, restaurant, club, bar thing" stems from something deeper? while all cities have the same garbage department stores and bullshit nightclubs, a lot can be said about a city from it's more intimate places even if they are stores and clubs. superfuture aims to make these "underground" places available to people who arent residents of that city. it chooses to focus on the commercial side of things but it could just as easily be about the overlooked or unknown parks in a city.
so if these places reflect the culture of a city, can that culture be summed up in a way that is not just a list of places to spend money (or see art, have a picnic, etc)?
