You should've told everyone this is a logo crit and not a site crit to start with... that is why a lot of people reacted negatively. People expect to see a site and they see a holding page. Don't take it personally.
As for the logo... the reel is too big because it really shouldn't be the focus of the mark. The "guy" is the most unique part of it and that'd probably be the thing to focus on. The letter spaceing and the type, in general' could use some time spent on it. And... vector, vector, vector. Nothing in this logo requires it to be raster and you'll find your life a lot easier in the future if this is vector.
