Experienced it. My brother, cousin and I were hiking in the woods along a stonewall in my old neighborhood. I sorta saw a head pop up from behind the wall. A man's head, mustached, grey hat, etc. I asked them 'Did you see that?'
They didn't. As we approach the end of the stonewall. A figure dressed in gray carrying a black powder rifle appears to get up from behind the wall and run, as if to hide behind something else, but disappears into thin air.
We all just fun away not sure of the direction and end up in the far end of the neighborhood. Pretty scary...
