its not "bad" advertising if we are talking about it.

I also hate when people say that bad publicity is still good publicity...what crap. Ask people who own Wendy's if they believe this line of thinking...finger in chili = publicity...good or bad? Same with advertising. If a company produces something lame, its still their image up there and if people don't connect then it isn't good advertising. Period. Yeah I said it...mutha fucking period yo!
It's funny that this subject has been brought up, Anthony and I are actually working on a site to showcase bad advertising, and I've been struggling with the line of thinking that 'if you're talking about it then it must be good'.
