Doing situps help as well. You'll start to tone what used to be fat. You can turn fat into muscle amazingly enough.
Restrict Carbohydrates, Sugar and High Fructose Corn Syrup (evil sh*t) as well.
Veggie it up with non-starches and eat an over-all balanced diet.
You need to sweat it all out brother, but everyone's body is different, so there really isn't a set answer. Do what works for you based upon results. :)
