Yep, agree to disagree, Tick. I couldn't disagree more, as I recognize, like countless Scholars, that the Bible is a historical document with more manuscript evidence than any other historical volume and should be treated as such and that it withstands the scrutiny of the science of Textual Criticism. So, my faith is a faith based in fact.
Far from "the specific story of a specific group of people on the face of the earth", the Bible is actually the story of the provision of redemption for all of mankind thru the volitional sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God incarnate. It crosses cultural and time barriers and transforms lives globally, to this day.
