It's cool to be mean to your emplyees. I think that when a CEO says we kill the unions, the media says YEY! We got reading material. When the CEOs say 'we're good', the media says 'duh'.
Being mean to you employees (but at the same time pretending to pretend to be kind) is actually a great marketing strategy.
