(Jun 12 05, 17:18)That's kind of tough to say, no one has ever sat and watched a diamond form, except synthetically (Moissonite, etc.). Most of them were formed during the Archean during major vulcanism. hey guess about how long it takes. Depends on the geophysical paleo-environment (Temperature and Pressure).
