I'm going to check the first box. I'm assuming the batteries arn't the same accross each generation..meaning it'll be easier for them to ship us new Ipods.
I've heard that they usually do that with the AppleCare prorgam too...its easier for them to ship a new one than fix the old.
Besides..it'll be a good way for them to lower the back-up in their sales pipes that are rumored to be out there.
