Hahaha,
no no. It ain't like that. I said shuda - as in Should-have taken a day off work.
I only offered ellie fine wine and such cos i was in her neighbourhood that night and she was ill at home (plus i'm in love with her). I'd offer you the same but you live far far away.
Having said that, my offer of a pint after work in the Wharf still stands :)
