there is a video monitor output on the left side of your ibook. you'll need the adapter to make it work. (should have come with the ibook). but this only mirrors your laptop screen, it doesn't give you another monitor. and if that wasn't a kick in the pants you can only run the external monitor at 1024x768 (i think, could be one higher). which sucks.
the link i sent you will install a hack that allows your ibook to run the laptop screen along with the monitor as two seperate entities... = more realestate.
