it's prolly because it's mtv and mtv ain't mtv anymore. they lost all progression, experiments and moonshining. they used to be some sort of a trendsetter stylewise. now i dunno, always slacking behind somewhere afraid to take chances. and the result of that can easily be seen in it's own idents and promo clips. but that's just my humble opinion.
