make sure in your print setup you have the thing set to print landscape (if that is what you designed it for)
also make sure your artboard is set to 11x17.
then make sure that when you send it to print, your printer has the correct peper in the tray that it is specified to print to.
our printer uses 8.5x11 by default and we have to make sure to send jobs to the Multi-purpose tray.
