Not necessarily. What are you using it for? If it's a simple blog, TXP is probably easier to set up initially. It just depends on what you're using it for.
They're both good. MT has been around longer so it's more developed but TXP has a ton of people working on it so it's getting closer and closer to MT in terms of usability and such. Plus TXP has an awesome forum.
I'm obviously biased though.
