yeah...that Heavy Metal magazine (sci-fi comic) as a HUUUUUGE influence on me as a kid...
i started collecting it around 1983 or so...(about grade 4...pretty cool parents eh?..)
and have most issues from 79 -83 or 84...after that it got pretty lame...and now, well...it just sucks in my opinion...there's still some good in it, i guess, form time to time...but man..
back in the 70's and early 80's that mag was pushing the boundaries...some of the most amazing art...
by some of the coolest of cool euro comic artists...
i could NEVER understand my friends when they got excited over north american comics when we were kids...
not after seeing that stuff...
wow..1st issue i ever got
i mean..look at this, and tell me that DC comics looked this good circa 1978....
that Superman issue No. 764 was coloured THAT good...
well...any ways.....
if you're ever interested in what those euro artists are up to now...
