I don’t think I’ve seen this posted here before, it’s a fantastic design resource. Sainsbury’s have digitised all their product design material for thei Own Label packaging - mock ups, drawings and design briefs etc.:

:)
My one remaining design client was going to do a release of the cat food packaging designs as a screenprinted poster run and had been in contact with them about doing so to get permission, which they expressed interest in. I set about making a vector conversion so we could scale up the print and then it all fizzled out.
Somewhere in the next year, Sainsbury's released the same design as a freezer bag, so I'm guessing that either that ball had already been set in motion at their end and there was a perceived conflict of interest - or, my personal theory - is that they realised there was an interest in having that design 'on things' which they could probably make more money from doing their own way.

Huh. What's surprising to me is that they were already loading things like Lemonade (not low sugar versions) with Saccharine waay back in 1975.

There's a lovely book by Jonny Trunk featuring a lot of the best stuff from the archive.

It's funny the own brand and value packaging peaking in popularity now supermarkets are dropping 'own brand' branding entirely.
