- Etsy? May I ask what your thinking was, and if that's one of the ones that made you a profit?detritus
- I read an article on Etsy, forgot what it was about, but it said that they are on the road to becoming X billion dollar company. So I was like why not?ArmandoEstrada
- Huh. I've read pretty much the opposite, and was talking with someone just the other day about how it's the sort of company that shouldnt've ever IPO'd ...detritus
- .. instead staying a small biz with, for its size a healthy profit margin, but not gunning for the bajillion market, because it can't sustain itself withoutdetritus
- ..diluting its offering, which it kind of has.
I wish I still tracked shares, I'd be curious to see how it goes over the years.
Thanks for answering —good luck!detritus - Don’t listen to or read analyst predictions on the internet. Took me a decade to figure that out. Invest in what you understand best.monospaced

Google Finance used to be my go to charting website. It had great technical charts and had live data so good I even used it for some data trading a few years ago. They redesigned it - basically cutting anything useful out of it and making it 'toy' level in it's usability.

The old site was still accessible up until last week. Sadly gone.
Anyone know any alternatives?
Is it just me or is everything getting dumbed down in terms of UI/UX. Everything is becoming 'easy'. Back in the day of early computing you had to 'learn' how to use something. Which besides anything Microsoft made, usually was a rewarding experience.

By Sally French, MarketWatchMark Zuckerberg's portfolio had a pretty rough day
The folks in D.C. aren't the only ones having a bad week. Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg lost more than $2 billion as a result of Wednesday's turmoil in Washington.
And Zuckerberg is not alone; the world's 500 richest people lost a combined $35 billion on Wednesday, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (https://www.bloomberg.com/billi...
Facebook Inc. (FB) founder Mark Zuckerberg, who is the fifth-richest person on the planet with a net worth of $62.3 billion, was hit the hardest as the Nasdaq saw its worst one-day decline since the day after U.K.'s vote to exit from the European Union (http://www.marketwatch.com/stor... rattled markets. Zuckerberg lost $2.2 billion as Facebook shares dropped 3.3%. Just don't start feeling too bad for the guy; his net worth is still up $12.3 billion year to date as Facebook shares rose 27.91% over the same period.
Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) founder Jeff Bezos, who is the third-richest person on the planet with a net worth of $81.9 billion, lost $1.71 billion as a result of yesterday's brutal selloff. Mexican business magnate Carlos Slim and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) cofounder Bill Gates, who is the richest man in the world, both lost more than $1 billion.
Trump, who has a reported net worth of $3 billion, does not make the Bloomberg Billionaires index, which only ranks the world's 500 richest people.
U.S. stocks are staging a rebound on Thursday. The Nasdaq is up nearly 40 points, supported by rebounds in major technology names, including Apple Inc. (AAPL), Amazon.com Inc. and Facebook Inc., all of which are up more than 1% on the day.

Day trading is nuts. I stick to VTSAX. All the research shows that actively managed funds under perform compared to the market as a whole.
