Made it out to a local Illinois hill this weekend on Saturday to get a warm up day in before going to Colorado in a month. Used to go every weekend but being a parent doesn't allow that anymore.

First time on the new Antler I bought in the fall. I got to demo one in Breckenridge last season. I have the 161.5. Board is so light... almost feel like it could hydroplane off the snow if you hit a small bump. Has a really fast base and I waxed it the night before; that board will pick up speed ridiculously fast. It's so light and flexible, it seriously reminds me of the 146 Nug I've ridden a few seasons.

I'm also nearly 20 pounds lighter than I was last season. Best shape I've been in as an adult. I think this board is going to be a good one, but I still might take my 158W Trick Pony with to CO. The Antler is a great all around board, it's gonna rule in the trees because it's really responsive. I didn't like the Trick Pony in steep trees last year. With the flat base, it had too much edge and was tough to turn quickly.

    Anyone's been riding?

I got to try my new bataleon board, not a fan of the design so much, but the board itself is amazing

    • i dig the design and the color way. not sure about those blunt tips though.lvl_13
    • well, it rides a lot better than it looks, so you are in for a treat :)Miguex

Just got back from Breckenridge yesterday. Pretty good trip. Snow was good Thursday and Friday from what fell on Wednesday. They could use more though.

Went to A-Basin Saturday. What a great mountain. Gonna daydream about being there on a powder day for a while. That place must be out of control with a good foot or so of fresh snow.
