Check your riding to see the latest polling data and which candidate you should support to block a Con victory:

- i'm in a new riding...Julesvm
- If I vote NDP in my riding it will be practically giving a vote away to the cons.Al_dizzle
- Al - Then suck it up and vote for the Liberals.
Jules - mine was rejigged for this election tooi_monk - It's my vote dude, if I wanna throw it away on my own principles, I'll do that.Al_dizzle
- If you want to help put Harper back in office, you'll do that.i_monk

I'm sure as shit not voting for Harpo. Like others I'm pretty disgusted with the Liberals and their backing of C51. NDP or Greens for me.

I'm leaning conservative, don't like Mulcair's socialist perspective at all and I have no faith that Trudeau would actually legalize marijuana so sticking with the status quo
- I don't love Mulcair or Trudeau, either, but daaaamn that's no reason to vote Conservative! :)nb
- Trolllolololololi_monk
- How about Greens? They really are the best party. It's too bad people are so polarized in Canada. We need some centrists in the house.nb
- the reason why most conservative govts gain power - voter apathy.fadein11
- I lived through an NDP provincial government in Ontario and that was an incredible disaster, how will Mulcair be different than Bob Ray?spot13
- None of the parties will give me a tax break anyway because I don't have kids and I'm not a senior so what would Lib / NDP offer me over the Conservatives?spot13
- The Bob Rae Ontario govt was doomed from the start. Heres a good read about how that fiery disaster played out...Al_dizzle
- http://www.theglobea…Al_dizzle
- I know what you're saying though, I don't really see the libs as an alternative to the cons. And my Green or NDP vote is just a throw away.Al_dizzle
- Another reason Conservative governments get into power - "what will they offer me"fadein11
- I feel I pay enough tax. When I think of the options, I believe I will pay more of my money in taxes to an NDP or Lib governmentspot13
- If you don't pay a lot of income tax, have a bunch of kids or rely on social services, than I understand why you would vote NDP or Lib - that's your rightspot13
- I see your point, however, the Conservative economic strategy is about to cost Canadians tons of jobs and reduced salaries across the country.nb
- You might end up with a lot less money under Harper's Conservative management.nb
- Also, I'd point out that investing in child care & education is worthy of your taxes. Those kids are going to be adults soon & you're going to have to share...nb
- ... the country with them! You don't want a nation of assholes/idiots! :)nb
- too late.yurimon
- Federal and provincial parties differ quite a bit, and it's been 30 years since Bob Rae. That's why you should expect something different from Mulcair.i_monk
- nb & i_monk, I respect your view and I haven't made up my mind yet, but so far I haven't seen anything that has swayed my view point to Mulcairspot13
- My two biggest election issues are reducing my taxes and making weed legal - if any party presents a real plan on either I will vote for them - that's mespot13
- 'the minute we form government" - Mulcair http://www.cbc.ca/ne…nb
- well that just might sway my vote - thanks for sharingspot13

If you're voting conservative you really need to go fuck yourself.
- <-------bort
- you have a very open perspective to politics - so if you're voting NDP, who's voting liberal then?spot13
- open perspective to politics? Have you been awake the last 8 years?futuremongolian

Andray Domise and Desmond Cole talk to Kyla Ronellenfitsch from the Gandalf Group and David Coletto, the CEO of Abacus Data to help figure out political polling. When should you pay attention to a poll and why and when should you take the results with a grain of salt.

I kept reading canada erect 2015.
- pango0
Well my riding so far has 63% NDP
follow by conservative at 19%
Liberal 10%. Green 8%
Won't be our fault if Conservative wins again.
- nb0
Current projections indicate
32.3% support NDP
28.3% support Liberal
29.4% support ConservativeWhat's crazy is that if you consider the Liberals to be "left" (as most do) that means that Canadians are 60% in support of a left-leaning government, and less than 30% on the right.
Looking at it another way, for each Canadian that supports the right-wing Conservatives, there are TWO Canadians who oppose them.
And yet, here we are, wondering who will be Prime Minister. What a crazy time to be in Canadian politics.
- hence STV!Julesvm
- The last thing we need is the NDP and Liberals merging into a single party. Look south at the farce a 2-party system created: Two right wing parties.i_monk
- If anything, the Cons need to rebel against the lunatic Reform core under Harper and revive the Progressive Conservatives.i_monk
- they'll get the 2-3% they need and get another government, the left are a bunch of idiots and we deserve the Conservatives if we can't get our shit together_niko
- ...and vote in a left wing party in a country which sees the left enjoying almost 70% support._niko
- mind boggling really._niko
- what we actually need up here is deez nutsprophetone

“Liberals believe in a Canada that is united — strong not in spite of its differences, but precisely because of them.” - Trudeau.
Trudeau told the gathering in Mississauga that under Stephen Harper, Canadians are being encouraged to be fearful of one another.
Conservative Candidate Jason Kenney responded by tweeting "[Trudeau] wants those who demonstrate violent disloyalty to CDA through acts of terror or treason to keep their citizenship." And then he tweeted a video of an IS member burning a Canadian passport.
Jason Kenney's is now saying that the Liberal Party of Canada "thinks convicted terrorists should keep their citizenship."
Kenney is the current Minister of National Defence AND the Minister of Multiculturalism. Seriously, what the fuck, Canada?!!?
- futuremongolian-1
If the NDP and Liberals merged into one party we would never, ever have another conservative government.
The Greens would become the new left wing alternative, and the conservatives would have to move back left towards the old Progressive Conservatives to have a chance.

Half of Canada is undecided. Or, at least, willing to say they might change their mind. Not bad, Canada! Keep your minds open to new ideas!

On the provincial side the NDP have only been in power a couple months and are already putting Alberta deeper into debt.
It's not all their fault, but they did reverse 1.4 billion the past government made in cuts to help deal with low oil prices and already have a 5.9 billion deficit. Going just like everyone other province they took over. Cuts suck and are unpopular, I know, but when there is no money you can't spend. The NDP just never seem to learn fiscal responsibility. Well... none of the parties really do, some just worse than others.
- *every other provinceETM
- Spending is the mandate of the NDP, their philosophy is that all services should be provided by the government and all income should be paid in taxes in returnspot13
- Tar Sand economy. Depend only on oil....Salarrue
- Most local regions have a singular dominant economic factor... so what's your point?ETM
- Alberta has barely any debt and tens of billions in the bank. They will weather the storm and bounce back.zarkonite
- I also think it was a good thing to reverse the cuts, no one should ever cut into education and healthcare is not the first thing you chop when there is troublezarkonite
