I am not too enthusiastic about what they did with episodes 1 and 2 of this season. Seems like they're crumbling under the pressure to live up to previous seasons.
Allowing rick to die multiple times in episode 1 seems like a bad idea to me. Now there's nothing at stake ever again for Rick. The show seems like it's ready to reverse itself at any time, and now nothing can be trusted.
The whole fascist-Morty in ep 1 to me felt like the writers telling the viewers they were fascists for making them write another season... if that's how they feel about it, they should probably just not.
- Rick has died so many times in the show already. I'm pretty sure the ones we follow aren't the originals either. The dying was to make a super meta point.monospaced
- It's a cartoon, they can do whatever they want, not everything needs to have a hidden message, just enjoy itfeel
- There’s an entire planet of just Ricks. A counsel or Ricks. An infinite number of Ricks and Mortys. Nothing is at stake. He can start over. That’s the plot.monospaced
- i love itApeRobot
- i think they pretty much said it at the end of episode 1. they're gonna do whatever they want and it might not have any meaning to anything.pango
- I've never been worried about Rick dying. Firstly because it's a cartoon and secondly he dies all the time and has an infinite backup. That's the whole thing.Hayzilla

I wish people would gather to protest gun laws and not this stupidity.

- ppl got the sauce already, gargling it and once the sauce is bitter enough, they gonna spit it out instead of swallowing anymore (sexy & political)helloeatbreathedrive
- uhhhhh ... nomonospaced
- How sad is your life that you'd waste hours standing in line at a reverse garbage dump for some movie tie-in dipping sauce referenced on a cartoon?i_monk

i think it's funny how that guy just bought a mulan mcnugget sauce on ebay from 1998 for over 14 thousand fucking dollars, mcdonalds is considering bringing it back, SJWs are working themselves into tirades about it being racist, etc, all because of that one monolgue at the end of the last episode.
i guaranfuckingtee you the whole "nine seasons of trying to get that sauce" thing will be shrugged off or ignored immediately in the next episode
- Racist to have a promotional tie in to a movie about a culture? Jesus Christ.monospaced

There's a theory that Morty is Rick as a kid. So the daughter of Rick, the mother of Morty (Rick), is in fact his mother...
- > http://www.qbn.com/r…
let's add that: from an other dimension :)sted - in other words, the Terminator scenario: where John Connor impregnates his own mother who then gives birth to him ... wait, is that really what happened?monospaced
- No.
No, it isn'tMr_Mxyzptlk - oh ... right ... that was the guy sent there BY John Connor ... I knew that :)monospaced
- Pffffff mono. You need to know your pop culture reference!pango

Have you heard the theory that Rick is aware that he's on a tv show?
It's related to the theme from the car battery episode.
So Rick created the Microverse, his car battery. Inside is a Miniverse and inside that is a Teenieverse.
The show itself is a micro-verse created by the shows creators. Rick is aware of this and thats why he is a drunken depressed guy that works extra hard to go on entertaining adventures and uses catchphrases while breaking the 4th wall.
Because he knows if he isn't entertaining, if he doesn't fulfill his meaningless task, the show will be canceled and his universe will end. Like the car battery guy.
Anyway, cool thought.
