I am not too enthusiastic about what they did with episodes 1 and 2 of this season. Seems like they're crumbling under the pressure to live up to previous seasons.

Allowing rick to die multiple times in episode 1 seems like a bad idea to me. Now there's nothing at stake ever again for Rick. The show seems like it's ready to reverse itself at any time, and now nothing can be trusted.

The whole fascist-Morty in ep 1 to me felt like the writers telling the viewers they were fascists for making them write another season... if that's how they feel about it, they should probably just not.

    • Rick has died so many times in the show already. I'm pretty sure the ones we follow aren't the originals either. The dying was to make a super meta point.monospaced
    • It's a cartoon, they can do whatever they want, not everything needs to have a hidden message, just enjoy itfeel
    • There’s an entire planet of just Ricks. A counsel or Ricks. An infinite number of Ricks and Mortys. Nothing is at stake. He can start over. That’s the plot.monospaced
    • i love itApeRobot
    • i think they pretty much said it at the end of episode 1. they're gonna do whatever they want and it might not have any meaning to anything.pango
    • I've never been worried about Rick dying. Firstly because it's a cartoon and secondly he dies all the time and has an infinite backup. That's the whole thing.Hayzilla
