If you are setting up a short-term rental property you would post on multiple sites like booking.com, homeaway.com etc., how do you coordinate which dates are booked/available amongst them all? So avoiding double-bookings etc.
I have someone asking for help for their property and I have never explored this before (other than as a user of such sites).
Any insight from experience would be much appreciated.

Airbnb.com is good and you can have a calendar and set your own refund policy.

http://checkfront.com is the best booking system I've used, and I've used many for a variety of inventory and properties. They don't take a cut and have a great API

But how do you offer your property on multiple services without booking conflicts? Is there some standard data format or API you provide them access to from your end? Not everything is a global hotel chain.
- damn, not too long ago i read about a site that offered that aggregation to multiple property rental platforms... 'll try and rememberGnash

No one here has ever encountered this for work or personal?

I finally sorted it. If it ever helps anyone, you need a 'Channel Manager' service like Lodgify or Bookerville etc. You create your listing there and it aggregates to the common booking sites from that centralized source.
