Birdman? More like Birdshit!
Seriously though...
I didn't find this all that special and didn't get what all the hype was about. I feel like the insane camera work was used to enhance the otherwise kinda boring film. Keaton is great, as is Norton, but Emma Stone is overrated IMO. My favorite part was the titles and how the letters built on with the drum hits. And Zach G as an "ordinary" character doesn't work for me. He's pigeonholed in my book.

fell asleep on it last evening.
technically amazing. but i didnt get really into the story.. i will re-watch the part I miss.
- but it won oscars, what are you talking about? you so crazyorganicgrid

After hearing all the hype I finally watched it last week. I didn't like it all. The camera work was pretty cool and the thought of Michael Keaton playing a washed up super hero actor was pretty funny but in now way was this the best movie from last year. Best Direction maybe but not best picture.

People getting all upset about this shit man... why?
spend your anger on vin diesel or shia lebuff movies. Seriously you are being fed like 14 fast and furious movies and who knows how many transformers movies and you complain about this? There's a show on tv that people sing (or dance) in front of judges and people choose to complain about this?
come on man...

Can see why people either loathe or love it but I am happy to say I fell into the latter camp. Incredible, original filmmaking. Need more like this. Nice to see two left-fielders vying for Best Picture this year.

I expected it to be another self grandiose movie about filmmaking and the struggling artist. It much greater than that, and more about loss, self worth and life fulfillment. The camera work was extraordinary, saturated with long takes and tricky movement. The acting was perfect.
What a great film.

its just the usual backlash every best motion picture gets when they win. would have happen to any other movie and it happens everytime

Pretentious, over-produced wankery made only to win an Oscar. It was like they were showing off with all the amazing camera work and endless tracking shots...oh hey, look at what weee can do. Cunts.
I tried watching it, fell asleep, tried again and fell asleep again.
- yeah they should just stick to the Hollywood formula we love so much and will never get sick of </sarcasm>moldero

Is it out yet?
y'know, "out"

Watched it last night and really liked it, it starts off very promising and delivers.
My only 2 minor disappointments are that the trailer makes it look like a film that can go in any direction, while it's actually very contained. Also it didn't move me at all despite great performances all around (each actor pretty much playing their signature character).
Great to see Keaton in a part on par with his skills.

I thought this movie had some of the best acting and dialogue in years. Loved the concept and the ending. Not surprised it won awards.

I love how smooth some of the timelapse/camera crane work was. I also loved this inner Birdman conversations. And Emma Stone - yummy.
