Love my apple watch honestly. Gonna die of cancer anyway from all the pepperoni i eat.

    • Sold mine after 3 months. Except for heart related apps, I didn't see a good use for it.Maaku

Do any of you own nice watches that are the only thing preventing you from buying an Apple Watch?

I've got three watches I love and kind of embrace the "watches are the one larger piece of jewelry a man can get away with" thing. One of mine was a gift from my wife when we were dating (An Alessi watch from MOMA), and I've got a nice Tsovet military-ish watch that I treated myself to for a promotion years ago.

A friend recently got an Apple Watch and raved about some of the simple things he didn't think he needed (alerts and notifications mostly) and it got me more interested in getting one. But, sigh... there's no way I'm going to stop wearing my watches. They'd have to be stolen or lost for me to even consider switching.

Did any of you hold back from buying one because you couldn't give up nice watches?

    • I did for a while. Not that i had terribly nice watches, but a few Braun ones that i was partial to. Finally convinced myself to get an apple watch.bogue
    • promised myself i would only wear it occasionally and still wear my favorite watches.bogue
    • It has now been months since i've worn anything but my apple watch.bogue
    • I have at least a dozen watches, most of them inexpensive G-Shocks and Nixon's and 1 nice Omega I inherited from my dad.fooler
    • But now I kind of want an apple watch to track my fitness (or lack there of)fooler
    • fooler, I use a heart rate monitor when working out, so even that benefit hasn't won me over.mg33
    • I do and I can see some things I'd like (health, I'd turn off notifications, too many on a damn phone). A colleague has a Panerai and Apple watch he alternatesformed
    • but I'll wait for something small and only wear it for activities. No style in any smart watch, totally disposable plastic, imho.formed
