Quote from above story:
She was held in a twisted wrist lock before being ejected onto the street.

Funny you ask. Im laying here in pain (2-3/10) as I read this request! :\
Well today I had an ultrasound on my wrist, amazing!
Could see the whole nerve moving when clenching fist etc. Crazy! Never knew.
The specialist said that there is significant swelling of the nerve in the dominant hand (injured hand), which is telling, as usually you get that with the non-dominant hand, so that means it is a significant injury to the nerve.
His 'diagnosis' was swollen nerve, but could only say wait to speak to the hand specialist next week, whom he sends report and images to.
By this time next week I will know if im going in for surgery or not. I would prefer it to heal by itself of course!
Swollen median nerve? Healing? Whats the chances? Anyone?

Fact they took a blood test freaks me out, so manipulative.

Oh, and yes the hand is still no fucking better. Exactly as it was 8 weeks ago unfortunately. No shit. Night time seems to be the worst.
But I am alive :)

Thought you all might like an update...
3 days later - still cannot feel my 3.5 fingers - have had an xray no beak or fractures.
I do hAave a reasonable amount of swelling still along with 24/7 pins needles and same razor blades to touch anything with 3.5 fingers. I cannot bend my thumb.
I have been icing every 4 hrs for 20 mins kept elevated and am using a splint to immobilize.
Have seen two doctors for a second opinion, they have both said only time will tell but it should heal and they would be surprised if it didnt, but they dont know how long.
In the meantime I have filed a police report that they will now investigate by reviewing the tapes and lawyers have been notified.
In any case my family will be looking for compensation for days lost at work + medical expenses + pain/trauma.
Thanks guys for all the help. I am honestly still waking in tears as each day i wake to find I still cannot use my right hand at all and simple everyday tasks like eating , opening a door or anything that requires two hands is now impossible.
CURVE BALL
- I know how frustrating it is. It's absolutely terrifying. The one time I have ever fainted was when a doc said I might not use my hand againmonospaced
- Not use my hand ever again. It did come back but yeah it's really freaky.monospaced
- you need two hands to open a door? lolmekk

You better report back, I hate reading these types of posts and no one ever comes back and tells us how it ends. Its like watching a season of a show and it gets cancelled.

Sorry forgot most important part - docs believe my median nerve has been stretched:
