@omahadesigns, I respectfully prodded and got a positive response, but then more delays so I sent one last assertive email saying something like (with more professionalism) 'listen, i need to know if youre interested or not, as you seem interested and I'd love to work with you, but your contact has been unprofessional and that worries me'.
he responded apologetically and things were on the upswing from there. we stayed in contact, i did my best to keep my emails / questions short and to the point knowing that multiple questions in one email or longer emails might be procrastinated on, and things moved smoothly from then on.
- So he did help you after you continued to remind him?omahadesigns
- he did. :)mantrakid

So what happened, after being so flaky and "busy", did HE get back in contact and help you?

well guys, i can honestly say that with professionalism and patience what seemed like a dead end connection has been one of the biggest boosts to my promotional efforts for the game. There were a few times I wanted to just say fuck it and email the dude with a frustrated 'moving on' email, but i remained calm and understanding that i may not completely comprehend his schedule, etc. The end result of the patience has been largely a positive result, more than worth the frustration.
So i guess take this as a testimonial that even though communication may seem to be utter shit from the get go, there is always the possibility it is salvageable and can end up quite beneficial despite the rocky start.
- I honestly think if you get a good artist involved this game will be very successful or even more successful than you imagine.josimar
- as in, get it stylised (a unique one ideally!!!) and get a CONSISTENT look and decent typography, I've wanted to say this for ages!!! ...josimar
- ... it for ages. And as an example, and I'm not saying yours should look like this but dayyyyaam, Monument Valley!?josimar

- Let him go for now - or else he will think you are a serious stalker. Drop him a line in a month and say you're pressing on and is he still interested.babaganush
- Let him go for now - or else he will think you are a serious stalker. on and is he still interested.babaganush
- Fair enough. I just think you are missing a trick. Art is letting you down but kudos for your efforts.josimar

"this dude is definitely legit, but im assuming he's very very very very very busy... though i did anyway, i really dont need to do research on him as i was a fan of his 'company' for a while now."
This speaks volumes of your naivety. Of course you need to research him. Do you take everything at face value? You don't know this guy from shit and he's being flaky as hell. He contacts you, you try and set something up and then he contacts you again as if you never had any dialogue. Dude is phishing, blanket emailing anyone he can looking for a sucker.
Don't be the sucker he's looking for.
