Spilled a little water on keyboard?

I spilled a little water on my keyboard yesterday morning and now, 36 hours or so later, about half of the keys (random assorted ones and the whole second row) don't work.
Is it fried? Do I need to buy a new one?

Me too. Done this with other keyboards too with no problem. The apple alu keyboards are very fragile...

take the batteries out, and let it dry for a few days.

Why would you post that picture of it to illustrate your point? mg33 is right: that is gross as hell. You will be judged by this for all of eternity. Treating an Apple product like it's something in a greasy mechanic's office... A lot of nerve you have Filthy McFilthenson.

I dont know if you tried it already, but ive had to do this a couple times now and it really works. When i was on tour someone knocked a bottle of liquor on a laptop. We bought a huge bag of rice and set it in there for the remainder of the tour (maybe 1 week) and mostly forgot about it. The rice was more of a temporary electronics burial while we traveled. But when we got back home, it turned on and worked like nothing happened. I always figured liquor would be even worse than some clean water as it could leave more of a residue behind. Nothing beats the rice fix (unless you tried to turn it on before it was completely dried out, in which case it's a goner).
