Definitely the right way to go, but they really should have released bigger iphones years ago. Too little too late, certainly for me.
It looks quite nice but as always it is laughably overpriced. You can get a nicer, faster, better quality phone elsewhere for half the price.
- we're talking about "phones" since when do they need to be faster and nicer?ApeRobot
- Phone is just a feature. They should be slower and not as nice for double the price? Bizarre point of view.set
- To be fair all new devices are fast enough, but in terms of UX and design there are others that...set
- .. at least equal the iPhone in every way for half the price, is all I'm saying.set

Who was having that iMessage issue?
I am having the same issue but figure it out. Important thing is that if SMS and iMessage doesnt switch over, just swipe to delete conversation.

Companies mature, you can't always re-invent the wheel. Don't forget Jobs took Apple from near bankruptcy to one of the largest/wealthiest companies out there.
Personally, I see nothing wrong with what they are doing. It'd be nice if they would think a little quicker, and I think they will have to (assume the competition is a tad better than it has been in the past...a new Android phone/watch comes out so quickly, Apple is taking years, eventually they'll need to speed that up a little).
They are making TONS of money, crushing the competition and still creating products that are more refined. It's safe and more than a little boring, but it makes sense.
Some of the hires scream a little too loudly "hey, look at me", Dr. Dre was ridiculous, imho, Newson I am guessing is there mostly because he's Ive's buddy (I don't see how his designs help, if anything egos could cause problems).

iphone gets released, has some kind of issue according to some geek blogging attention whore, in turn it receives a shit ton of press and crappy joke pics like the one above. rinse and repeat every year.

Apple never had new ideas (yes it's been said before). They took bad ideas with potential and Steve said "this is shit", I will make this good. I'll spin it as only I can. And he did. The product (Mac, iPod, iPhone etc.) was so polished and consumer friendly it seemed new because the general masses were unaware of the segment, and the more savvy had a product that solved their long-existed gripes with the segment. That was always his magic.
Problem is with the smart watch, the segment is basically non-existent, people don't even know what's wrong with the segment yet to help Apple make it right. So rather than re-inventing and stealing the segment, they are gambling with the segment.
Some might say they did that with the iPad, though I think the iPad was a much safer gamble and they knew it could replace casual laptop use.
So what does the watch segment replace? Very little but mainly niche fitness devices. Is that enough to gain traction to appeal to the general masses? Who knows. Arrogant to yet assume one way or the other.
But without a visionary at the helm, Apple won't be greater than the sum of it's parts as it was with Jobs. All the designers they can hire can't replace vision. The great designers made the vision a reality, they were the working hands to Steve's mind.
- don't forget, the iPod took off not just because of product, but because of the iTunes store integrationmonospaced
- and how Apple forced the music industry into the "now"monospaced
- Also, the entire way people listen to music was changing thanks to Napster, etc. Timing is everything!nb
- Napster, Limewire etc. wasn;t user friendly for the masses, like everything Apple, iTunes made it accessible to normal people.ETM
- Now iTunes is a bloated POS though. lolETM
- iTunes is easy to use? Please. Limewire was no more difficult (I actually used it, iTunes I will not use)formed
- Yeah, well you didn;t end up with malware using iTunes, did you? Or misnamed files. Or honeypots.ETM
- Average people don't know how to avoid that shit in P2P networks.ETM
- I was referring more to the ecosystem and the .99c tracks.monospaced
- Agree, all parts of the term "accessible" IMO.ETM
- "Yeah, well you didn;t end up with malware using iTunes, did you?"

All you need to know about iPhone 6 bent-gate and the dude test it.
Geezuz criss...of course it will bent! It's not made of titanium ffs! The bigger the piece of aluminium, the larger the chance that piece will bent! Its simple physics here. Just take care of your stuff. Anyways, it's not good to keep a phone 0mm from your skin.
- OMG. I just did a crash my car into a wall test and it smashed too. So bad. Fucking idiot.colab
- which is why they do car crash tests. he's doing the same for the new iphone to show stress thresholds.SteveJobs
- helped me make a buying decision, that's for sure!SteveJobs
- Galaxy Note DOESN'T bend thoughfadein11
- Bend*set
- lol oh wow. who would have thunk if you BEND IT, IT BENDS? lolrabbit
- benfal990
and the weak point is right where the volume button are. Again, simple physics. Because of the holes for the buttons, there's less aluminium to support energy.
- GeorgesIV0
- Not only that but literally more than double the price lolset
- what are virtual buttons?ESKEMA
