spo.tt v1.1 is just about finished, looks like we'll be submitted 7/1 instead. :)
is anyone interested in helping us test this out late next week? just looking for some designer/developer type people to use it in their area, give feedback, etc...
thanks!

rejected! working on some updates, in the mean time I created a rough demo (practicing for a presentation) — greatly appreciate highly critical feedback:

tagline / description feedback appreciated:
spo.tt — say anywhere.
spo.tt is a new way to communicate with the world around you. Share messages, photos, and updates with a spot. A spot you create or one that exists — a spot anywhere in the world that anyone can join. Talk to people you already know. Or people you’re about to meet. Say what you know. Learn what you don’t.

Looks like a fun app. I'd love to test it out.

Lovely Idea rosem. Best of luck with the release. I agree better colours for spots would be an improvement but as a MVP to get the idea across, this is great.

Really nice idea. Simple. Can see this being really popular for sports events/festivals etc

Can't use it since I own an android at the moment BUT from the videos and your description maybe I can suggest color themed dots?:
- Red dots for places with negative feedback, maybe you can find a way to filter some keywords that will help you achieve this
- Blue dots for the opposite, places with good "reviews" (or whatever color you think is better)
- Interesting idea. we currently do have color themed dots. Green for active and gray for in active.wordssssss
