just binge watched season 3 - damn that is such a good show. in fact, it's opening me up to see the world (and politics) in a much different light than i had previously

Stopped watching season 3 after Russia got involved. Impossible to suspend disbelief between that ridiculous shit and the product placements.

...OK... it stays

I liked season 3 more than season 2. I agree you could see a lot of things, but I also didn't know where they'd stop.

i binged it this weekend... well up to episode 12 so far... it's OK, Certainly not as good as the first 2 seasons... You can see things coming a mile away... But certainly enjoying the relationship between Underwood and the Russian president...

I find it funny how the presidential couple are cast to look like white Obamas, down to his voice and her hairdo.

Watched an episode and a half - when you watch enough documentaries you get bored with half-baked dramatization of actual events out there. That said though my brother who doesn't watch any docs loves the series and thinks it's eye opening. I guess it's all relive depending on how much you know about the realities of the world.

It was entertaining, but so unrealistic. I just can't get behind a show that assumes everyone is an easily manipulated idiot.
Production quality is good, acting is very good, but believing that people are capable of taking over the world with a few gambles is crazy.
I'd give season two a B.

It's a little slow... but it's 'good'

^ i don't know. for me it offers a unique entertainment value; and one, that with any show, you can't appreciate with such stringent expectations.
guess mine were at the perfect pitch for it to be such an indulgence.

season 2 took a decent, slightly unbelievable melodrama and turned it into the biggest heaping pile of dogshit.
the "suprise" at episode one is just ridiculous. not to mention nobody in washington is apparently smart except kevin spacey? it's fodder for pseudointellectual review sites.ugh.

Just finished season 2 planting it firmly within the top 5 of my all-time favorite shows.

^ do it two more times and you can call it a trend. House of Cards is good though, but it seemed to end abruptly (?)

"While careers and entire networks have been made and lost based on the mysterious alchemy of finding a hit, Netflix seems to be making it look easy, or at least making it a product of logic and algorithms as opposed to tradition and instinct."
