Didn't know where else to really ask, but does anyone here have any knowledge of the techno or electronic scene out in Berlin, if not Germany? I know the scene used to be pretty great, and I'm thinking of going sometime this summer.

Such a legend - Moritz von Oswald. Basic Channel, Chain Reaction, Rhythm and Sound, the M series. All essential. He's moved on to more dub, and almost jazz stuff now with MVO trio. It's all classic stuff though.

Resident Advisor is a good startig point, most clubs use it as a promotion platform. There are other things like outdoor raves or parties in abandoned buildings going on mostly promoted by word of mouth and maybe a facebook page.

- yeah, i dont think techno covers deadbeat in any way..autoflavour

Berghain. Absolutely go to Berghain. Arrive Saturday night and don't leave til Monday morning. Look up DJ's like Scuba, DVS1, Prosumer, Dixon, and Ame to get a rough idea of what the place sounds like. My friend went last year and he said it's an absolutely epic experience. Hedonism like you wouldn't believe. Sex on the dancefloor. Not even joking.
- everyone should visit it at least once, it's a place worth the trouble :)ernexbcn

Just don't speak loud in the queue, don't bring bottles while you are in the line either. I'd not speak at all the whole time while you are in the line, or at least when you are close to the door. Avoid looking at Sven and the rest of bouncers.
I've only been 3 times and managed to go in, but in all those visits I've been lots of people being told to go home.
Sven:

After reading about Berghain, it sounds like they have a pretty strict policy to get in, and I don't know what to base it off of. It's not like the clubs in the states though where if you don't look douchey enough, they won't let you in, yeah?
