Don't get me wrong, I'm not pissing at the idea, I think this is pretty obvious in terms of future, but they are implementing it wrong as of now. I already have glasses on my head. I CARE a lot about what they look like, and what I look like wearing them. How do I use both? Why can't I add prescription lenses? How can I enjoy a sunny day wearing shades (with prescription lenses too) without looking like a douche from the 90's and use Google Glasses? See, I can't, so can't millions of others out there.
These designs seem pretty final to me, so don't just say they will have other versions on release. This doesn't seems really thought trough to be a hit.- Which is why I think they're essentially GoPro's with an internet connection (in the current iteration)pig

a couple months ago i went to the cinema where they gave me some glasses that projected the text onto the lenses - after wearing them for an hour or so, i think i could see how it could be useful, displaying text, emails, etc.
didnt really think about it till i got up to go to the restroom half way thru the movie, and could keep reading along while outside the theater room.
i'm interested to see where it all goes, but i think they're onto a good thing.

What happens when you are in IKEA and you and your girlfriend are trying to decide which table to go for - wood or glass. And the decision is up to you and you say "OK, glass ...."

Surely taking the shot on your phone as if you're not looking is more creepy?! lol
Either way I don't think either should be good for doing that :\

Of course it will catch on. There is the price/usability thing that has to be done right, but in the long run, this is something that will happen.
Many people thought the iPad was stupid before it came out.
I have a laptop! I have an iPhone! Why do I need this?!!!
You will need this.
- Apple launched iPhones/iPads with confidence, Google released this to devs to come up with what it's good for.raf

I actually really like the idea of google glass for walking and navigation but apart form that hmmm I don't think I would like it.

^^That's another point. Is there a way to interact with it without talking? I mean, Are we going to see everybody walking down and talking to their glasses for everything? Forget about that. I would have to use my phone for discret use. So why the fuck am I wearing these fuckers in the first place?

This is one of those things that has no use or purpose at all, but just a cool experiment that probably cost a fortune to develop, now they're like fuck it, just sell the thing and try to recoup some of the costs.
- it has no features?scarabin
- Has features, none of which need dopey looking glasses to use.CygnusZero4
- well hopefully they won't be dopey looking for longscarabin

People wearing headcams—unless they're disabled, doing outdoor sports or work in shop security—will look creepy, and rightfully so.
A likely scenario is for Google to get $gazillion orders from police who will record every single interaction with people they protect and serve from then on.

Google is suspending sales of its controversial Glass augmented reality headsets in order to "graduate" the product, which is being given its own research division.
Google's Explorer Program – which allowed enthusiasts in the UK and US to purchase the device for $1,500 (£990) – has been pulled by the tech giant.

Tell me it isnt weird that every other person on the street has their head tipped down as they look at their phone. Not to mention people driving.
The change has started! Deal with it.
- Tablets always made sense in theory, this—not even Google knows what to do with, have to ask devs for a year.raf
