Full albums when possible.
Listening only devolves into cherrypicking for those artists who fail to craft a good album start to finish (aka 95% of current music).

i load full albums, but rarely listen to anything except on shuffle.. occasionally when i get something love, i will listen beginning to end maybe once or twice.. but after that.. its back to random lands.
nothing like atari teenage riot contrasted against keith jarrett followed by some madlib.. its what keeps me going

I listen to full albums. Unless I don't have time to listen to the whole album. In that case I'll listen to as many songs from the album that will fit into that particular time period. If I don't like a particular song on an album, sometimes I'll skip it and listen to the next one. If I don't like the next track, I'll skip to the next, and so on.
Sometimes I want to listen to a collection of music from different genres, in which case, playing a whole album from one artist doesn't satisfy me, aurally. I find that hand-picking particular tracks to suit my mood is a better option if this scenario arises.
Sometime I don't want to listen to music at all, in which case I'll not play any of my whole albums.
