We have a client who asked us to develop an Ipad App and maybe also the Android version. Since we don't have a Objective-C developer in house but we work with a very good freelance Flash developer, my question is: is it too risky to make it in Flash and export for iOS/Android? Any of you had any experiences? Any advices?

From what I have seen and built myself, not it's not.. AIR will allow you to build some really great apps and on top of that it has native extensions unlike anything on the market right now that if you need some specific low level API things on an OS level you can just get an Obj-C or Java developers to write you static libraries you can easily connect to and compile with your AS3 project.
This is very important because you can take advantage of the latest APIs in the latest versions of mobile OSs without waiting for anyone, something that is not really possible with stuff like PhoneGap or other frameworks.
Look into Starling and http://feathersui.com/ . This is fully GPU accelerated UI framework for AIR that will save you a lot of time. Performance is simply stunning.

also.. you have some terrific native extensions already built for you to use:

Adobe has a list of all native extensions available to you from 3rd party sources as well

From personal experience I have found building stuff with AS3 to be amazingly awesome and easy. I use Flash Builder for coding and project and publishing and I use Flash CS6 for any UI work. It's a great combo.
- There are tons of stuff you can simply repurpose from existing Flash projects and just publish for mobile too. It's that easy.monolith

if I were the client, I would be pissed to find that out.

Are you going to charge the client the same?
