  Every 20+ km run, every 60+ km ride and every 1+ km swim are memorable, until the next of course...

  you might not think it, but i'm crazy into bushcraft. grew up in the scouts learning survival stuff. go camping as often as possible

  most memorable trip was hiking in the grand canyon, ended up getting helicoptered out

  Free rock climbing in Colorado Springs during the summers made me feel like a man when I was younger. Now I amateur circuit race motorcycles (AMA) whenever I can (road racing or flat track dirt), though my favorite being when I entered the drag races on my birthday 4 years ago. I got spanked every race except one but the crowd loved me (for my naivety I think).

  wouldn't mind doing the vigilante crime fighter bit. get some exercise and fresh air scaling rooftops and buildings. wacking criminals. since i'm not bruce wayne, i'd probably have to swipe wallets from criminals to stay afloat.

  I like a big hike... favourite place being New Zealand. Abel Tasman, Kepler, Routeburn, Tongariro, Milford, Holyford, Queen Charlotte, Fox Glacier – done 'em all, nearly all the big 9 and keep going back.

  I've also dirtied my boots in England, Scotland, Wales, Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Morocco, Iceland, Mexico, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Australia. I'd love to go Alaska or the cold bits up north in Russia but MrsT spent all my cash.

  I've done it only twice but I do enjoy white water rafting, dangerous as it may be. It's completely exhilarating and I like the teamwork aspect of it.

  And when theres a drought you take the boats to the coast into the surf and then it's FUCKING FUN! :D

  I did a solo hike on the south western Tasmanian coast. Got bush planed into a remote area and did a 100km hike back to civilization. Just an Epirb beacon for rescue incase shit got crazy.. which it did. Thankfully didn't need recuse but came awful close. If not for a couple of nice aussies that stumbled across me and wrapped me up in an reflective emergency blanket i would definitely not be here today. Still glad i did the trip. When i get away from the computer i like to REALLY get away from the computer

  I live in a big city with little means or time to lug equipment around for hours just to get slightly closer to nature.

  But I bike to work.
  Slopestyle/freestyle bike, in the middle of the traffic or on the streets going up and down stairs like a madman. The more vigorous the route the more fun.

  One of the more memorable rides as of late was biking at midnight right through the major stations. Had the whole city for myself as it's near void of people a few hours past last train, even going through stations like Shibuya.

  Had some ambient music on. Gear set perfectly. A neon bike park for myself. It was a delight.

  • Sounds cool. We rented bikes while in Tokyo and it's a huge city to get lost in - easily!– stoplying

  Only vehicles I've owned are Jeeps...pops builds superchargers for Jeep engines. My wife and I backpack and rock-climb here in CO. We plan to do the entire Colorado Trail next summer. Its awesome having a wife that loves all of this stuff as much as I do.

  My most memorable trip? Had a few climbing epics, especially when we first started. Nothing major happened though. The first time we climbed outside was in Utah. We got a book and picked a place where we thought we could set up a top rope. Got to the site...couldn't set up a top rope. I just happened to buy a set of quick draws before we left and thought I've watched people do it, and read enough about, cant be that hard. So I lead my first route out there, and set up a top rope anchor for everyone else. We went backpacked into Lost Creek Wilderness area last summer with some buds, some of the most beautiful country Ive seen in Colorado...had tons of fun, spent almost a week back in there exploring.
