I'm not usually too informed about ecommerce, but my firm is working on a site that uses Magento.
Is it a good platform? Are there better ones out there?

One day someone will start a magento thread and magneto won't be in thefirst two hilarious posts.
One day.
That day is the day that humour will rise, phoenix-like, from QBN's wasted ashes.
- Oh, hold on - this is a fredddddd thread? bah, who cares?

I wasted many frustrated nights hacking on Magento. It's an overly complex, convoluted turd. I avoid it like the plague now.
I recommend LemonStand to all of my clients and developer colleagues.

Are we to understand you recommend LemonStand, rocketrichard?
It's hard to tell from your myriad thread bumps.

I have personally tried developing on Magento platform. It's completely horrible. The documentation was written by 3rd graders and support forum is a joke. You're better off selling crap on the corner.

- It's pretty annoying and excessive to reply to every single one.ETM
- Sorry, sir Prince of the Forums for breaking your rules. I'll be sure to only join the legions of people posting gif animations of babies pooping and cats chasing balls. Because that's totally not excessive or anything.rocketrichard
