Any other chrome users having problems with flash content this week? Updating flash player does nothing!!!

always on chrome, always flash probs

stepson, yes, there is a major bug lately. Causes huge performance hangups and the Flash plugin crashing.
Here's how I fixed it:
1) In the address bar, type chrome:plugins
2) Under the Flash heading, click the Detail [+] button to show all your Flash plugins
3) If you have more than one Flash plugin listed, disable all but the newest one (11.4 something...)- The screenshot shows what it should look like after you disable the extra plugins.fate
- this is great! thanks!

thanks fate. good advice but something isn't adding up. i'm on 10.3 which should obviously be the problem, but it's the same version that i get redirected to both from the plug-in update page within chrome and via the auto-redirect via adobe's website. Just installed the standalone player (11.4) but chrome hasn't picked it up. So annoying.

I tried chrome when it first came out, most flash pages were screwed up. Haven't gone back since.

I use Chrome for 4 reasons:
Exif data plugin
Element inspector plugin
open tab start typing search query immediately.
Pin tabsIf Safari did those things I'd have it.
- +1 Element inspectorCrack_Junkie
- +2 element inspector.monNom
- Element inspector? Isn't that a standard thing in Safari and Chromeanimatedgif
- safari one is terrible btw..monolith

I use chrome for daily browsing but I have flashblock installed, so I enable flash items on demand only. Maybe that's the reason why I don't experience those crashes.

I thought I was the only one. Frustrated me to the point that I stopped using it. I'm sure it's something simple that I keep overlooking when I go to update but I have too much stuff on my plate to search around when I have 2 other browsers installed that are not giving me any grief.

Same here... i was getting the Cannot load shockwave flash yellow error bar on so many different sites (not QBN oddly enough). You could reload said pages several times and eventually get flash content. It was driving me insane so i've switched to Safari... found all of the same extensions I used in chrome and i'm a happier man because of it. I did like the chrome icon in my dock though.

@fate, Im on Flash 10.3. No idea how you even have 11.3. But anyway, I only have 1 Flash listed in the plugins, not 3 like you, so your fix doesnt apply to me.
IVe been using Chrome for a long time without any problems and suddenly I cant view Flash anymore.
