There are so many ways that monolithic tech brands will impinge your liberties that one day you'll fail to even recognise this one as having any significance whatsoever.

You are slowly, bit by bit, assigning all your permissions - and that includes your finances - for everything you do in life to profit-making companies.

And yet today, you're concerned that you wont be able to photograph a rock concert.

    • I dont do business with banks.
so far the only companies I patronize is communications.

it'll just be a killer of the most successful element of the phone; the camera. it'll never happen. Of it did, I;d buy a new phone and a new camera.

it's amazing that we are talking about a phone and the concern here is how it will be allowed to take pictures in certain situations. crazy.

but i see this more like another step onto the slippery slope that is our dependency on tech and how it's already beginning to control our daily lives. we have a love affair with it. and one day it will control so much of what we depend on that power moves by corporations will essentially be affecting what we do, see and say. they can assume control as they see fit and our best interests are not priority. we see this played out in lots of movies, minority report comes to mind.

all these things to make life more convenient are slowly becoming the invisible prison that we are happily surrounding ourselves with and inviting in to our personal lives. it's all so new now most people just accept it, maybe one day everyone will smarten up tho.

a small example, you may not realize but if ur on the facebook, there's a third party access setting that boils down to companies being allowed to use your face, your kid's face, any pic in your profile on targetted social ads within fb, to help sell their products to your friends and others. i had no idea about this, turned it off this morning.

on one hand I think, relax nerds, people use these things to check facebook and play angry birds.

on the other hand, if this is the beginning of a future cyberpunk world, then yes, it's scary how much control Apple, Google and the rest will have control over everything we do.
