So fucking bored of sarcastic comments on this website.
You can't ask anything anymore...
Thanks 2002

I don't think 2002 was sarcastic, the first thing that came to my mind was exactly that. The preinstalled one shows it all.

To be perfectly honest there really isn't anything that keynote does that powerpoint doesn't do - and vice versa.
What most keynote users prefer (myself included) is that the UI + UX of the application is superior to powerpoint. Where powerpoint might make adding an effect, editing a style or something very non-obvious keynote makes a lot of those things very accessible and easy to achieve.
Beside that, the software itself is not pricey. It will also allow you to PPT format and retain virtually all of your styles/slides/etc intact. The only issue i've had is when exporting larger-ish tables, charts or graphs from keynote to ppt. Some things eventually get lost in translation.
Hope that helps.

not ppt or keynote, but have you checked out prezi? It uses zoom and movement instead of different pages.

A bit over-the-top for most presentations, but a different way to approach it.

not sure anyone would feel comfortable sending anyone their keynote files with actually info on it.
you can simply just copy it and call it your own.
I have a few good ones and complex animation ones.
but I wouldn't send that source file to anyone.

powerpoint is much more powerful compared to keynote. Keynote is limited and still uses none-vector based set screen size. complexity that ppt can handle is much greater. adding data, live data, linking to other sources etc. so much you can do.
UI / UX wise, keynote is simple because it is very limiting. And also it has pre drawn color set and shapes you start with.

depends on what capabilities you are trying to show to your clients.
- cross platform : nope
- complex data /source linking : nope
- easy of use : yes
- resizing capable : nope
- animation : yes / no - easy but not good
