Any suggestions? I need something that will automatically backup new files and folders and whatnot.
What do you guys use?
ChronoSync
Carbon Copy Cloner

Time Machine?
I use Time Machine to backup locally to a Time Capsule, and then Backblaze for remote backup. Both will backup everything, although you can specify exclusions.

Time Machine seems like the easy choice. I've used it for a few years, it's free, and multi TB drives are so cheap these days.

Time machine. Versioning has saved my ass countless times.

I use time Machine..but it snot much use if someone steals your computer etc.
So for extra sensible-ness use http://www.bombich.com/ Carbon Copy Cloner to periodically clone your drive and keep a HD off-site!
you'll need an Icy Box too

time machine just copies everything. i only want certain things copied that are not on my internal hd
- that is pre-10.8. now you can chose files or directories to exclude from tm.uan
- im on 10.6.8 can i set time machine to copy files from an external hd to another external hdJG_LB
- I meant 10.5 btw. and yes, that should work: timemachine preferences, Options, remove external drive from exclude.uan
- and add internal drive to exclude list.uan
